President Thomas Whitmore’s Speech from the movie “Independence Day”

“Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. “Mankind.” That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it’s fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!  We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!”

(A/N: I really wish there was a cause that the whole world could unite together on.)

  2. absolutely true
people will never find a cause which puts them all in the same situation of peace and harmony
and i also believe that people would fight amognst themselves on how best to deal with aliens if they do come to kill us…
people hav many theories and none of these people would stand down and give way to the other

  6. “we will no go quietly into the night! we will not vanish without a fight! we’re go to live on, we’re going to survive.” will there be a day in which we all stand a line to fight a same cause. Never in the history of mankind did this happened and i don’t believe i never will. As history recorded, violence is the one thing that people cant avoid.

the speech was quite powerful to envoke whole world .One must not think of himself or of his countrymen when the entire mankind was in trouble. They have to join hands to face such situations and to stand ,fight and win.

  16. The cause is here and now in defense of President Trump, freedom of speech, and the right to live in Liberty!

  17. There can be! All unite together in Christ. Christ is the life, the truth & the way. You really want to unite the world? Show compassion to more people. Not just one person per day. Every person, every day & have them continue that. Rachael Joy Scott (first to be killed at Columbine shooting) had a theory. “If you can show an act of compassion, it will start a chain reaction.” Before I heard that quote, I knew it was fact because I saw it happen in my life.
